Headstall fits around the rope nose next to the shank and the knot twists back against the headstall to hold it in place. The unique design of the curb portion applies severe pressure to the horse's lower chin for lots of whoa. The swivel cheeks allow the rider to lead a horse off to the side much better than the old fast stop or quick stop.
