Transition Curb
Transition Curb
6" Cheeks 5" Mouth
The small ported mouthpiece and rear angled shanks make this an ideal bit to take a green horse from the direct pressure of the ring or D snaffle bit to the leveraged pressure of the shank and curb. The mild gag and sloping shank slows the reaction of the bit which allows for a less intimidating transition. To avoid complications, checking the horse up without the rider on the horse's back is always suggested. Neutral adjustment is also suggested. A leather curb would be appropriate for the transition process adjusted with two fingers between curb and chin.
