This sliding mouth snaffle takes the pressure off the lower tongue, lip and bars of the horse's mouth which can cause a horse's jaw and head to lower and drop behind the traditional ring snaffle.

The elevation of the mouthpiece directs the pressure points upwards toward the corners of the mouth inviting the horse to extend his nose and elevate his poll.
